  • The aftercare advice is given to ensure you fully understand what should and should not be done the first 24-72 hours post-treatment for best/safe results.

Some things to know: redness, swelling, tenderness, bumpiness may occur and is completely normal the first 24-72 hours.

Why?: When waxing, the hair is rapidly removed directly from the root. The skin begins a healing process as the pore begins to recover and close itself over the next 3 days. During this time the pores are open, they are most susceptible to irritation and infection.

    • DO NOT touch the waxed area. (This may spread bacteria from your hands)

    • DO NOT wear restrictive clothing, such as leggings for the first 48 hours. (Friction to the waxed area can cause irritation and ingrown hairs)

    • Keep the area clean. Gently pat the waxed area dry.

    • Keep the area hydrated with Fur Oil daily use to soften the skin and the new hair growth.

    • Can use Fur Ingrown Concentrate to help treat and prevent ingrowns, too.

    • Wait 48 hours before working out, sauna/steamroom/jacuzzi or go to beach/lake/pool/sand/sun exposure.

    • Sweating can cause infection in the pores. DO NOT take hot baths, soaking in hot water can cause irritation.

    • Avoid sex for 48 hours. (Friction/Abrasion/Sweating can cause irritation/infection)

    • Exfoliate the area with Fur Silk Scrub or Fur KP Body Scrub after the first 4 days (if you're not longer experiencing any discomfort) to avoid and treat ingrowns.

    • Can spot treat ingrowns with Fur Ingrown Eliminator after 2-3 days.

  • This aftercare advice is given to ensure you fully understand what can be expected following your chemical/enzyme peel and what should and should not be done the first 7 days for best and safest results.

    TIPS:

    • Avoid sun and heat exposure for at least 5-7 days.

    • Avoid strenuous activity, including working out the first 24 hours.

    • Avoid wearing make-up for 24 hours post-peel.

    • Lightly cleanse with a gentle cleanser and moisturize.

    • Keep extremely dry areas/patches moisturized as needed.

DAY 1: Swelling, dryness/tightness, redness, mild irritation, darkening of peeled areas, and mild scabbing are common.

DAY 2: Skin may still feel dry, tight, and may be slightly more red. In some cases, your skin may have already begun to brown, change color, or develop minor scabs. This is normal. These are signs that dead skin will start to slough away.

DAY 3-7: Exfoliation will occur, from mild to heavier peeling. Do not be concerned how much or little you physically peel, it is different for every person and every session. Peeling or flaking is a great sign the skin is in its healing process. (No peeling is also common)

    *PRECAUTIONS:

    • DO wear sunscreen with SPF 30-50 daily, reapply every 2 hrs especially when outdoors.

    • DO NOT exfoliate, wax, or shave/“dermaplane” the face for at least 7 days.

    • DO NOT use AHA/BHA's, retinoids or other correctives for at least 7 days.

    • DO NOT pick or prematurely peel your skin. ***This can cause scarring, irritation and damage***

    • DO NOT receive any other professional peels/heavy exfoliation for 4 weeks.

    • Unless you have been instructed otherwise by your physician, you may consider taking an over-the-counter antihistamine such as Benadryl if you feel necessary within the first 24 hours of your peel.
